The winners of the 2022 scarecrow competition
Over the weekend of the festival, there was an online voting system which allowed people to vote for their favourite scarecrow. There was a prize for the scarecrow with the most votes. Also there was a prize for a lucky voter chosen at random.

| Second place |   | Second place goes to the cat on the lamppost, with the mice catapulting tomatoes at it. High Street. Difficult to see from this photo, but the cat is about 20 feet up in the air. |
| Third place |  | Third place goes to the demogorgan and other characters from “Stranger Things” (Netflix). Watsons Yard. An excellent entry from last festival’s winners. |
| Commended |  | Commended for Esme and Patrick from “The Great British Sewing Bee”. New Road. An excellent model of the two presenters. |
| Commended |  | Commended for the fantastic coloured cat representing looking on the “Bright Side”. School Lane. This was just beautiful and fun. |
| Commended |  | Commended for “Boris in the Bin”. New Road. We wondered where Boris is, we have not seen him for some time! |
| Winner of the lucky voter | Everyone who entered their favourite in the online voting system, was entered in to a draw for a prize. The random lucky voter was Hugh D. The prize is on its way. |
